Annet Mahendru

Mahendru a Russian Indian mother is born in Afghanistan. She has a good command of German Russian English. Annet Mahendru, born in India to her Russian father and an Indian mother, is fluent with both of the languages. At age 11 she choreographed an act that earned her a slot on German television as a beautiful Russian snow maiden who transforms into a lively Indian dancer. When she graduated at New York's high school, she earned her bachelor's degree in English degree from St. John's University. She took classes in acting in the HB Studios, but then left to pursue improvisational comedy at the Groundlings School. Her family was brought up in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru and an Russian-speaking mother Olga. She was only 13 when parents separated. Her father moved the household to East Meadow New York. In FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most notable television appearance. She had a recurring part in Fox's The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
